Did you know that SOCKS are one of the most valued but least donated articles of clothing?
Join us for our 7th Annual SOCKS campaign! Our socks recipients are friends experiencing homelessness or extreme hardship in their lives. Your donations bring hope and warmth to thousands of vulnerable friends in our community. During COVID, need for socks has sky-rocketed. Your support means everything!
Socks For Hope collection takes place December 1-18 thanks to our Burlington Taxi Drivers providing safe drop off in their vehicles, along with our treasured Socks Box Hosts throughout the city.
This year, Kendra Marchand and her community team are running collections. We are grateful for the collaboration at a time when SOCKS demand is at an all-time high. Please watch for live updates and information on the Socks For Hope Facebook Page.
If you are a new Socks Box Host and don’t see your name listed below, please reach out to community@burlingtontaxi.com and we will add your contact info pronto!
Where do your SOCKS go?
Directly to organizations supporting friends living in shelters, on the streets, in long term care wards, vulnerable families, & breast cancer patients in Burlington & Hamilton: Your Little Bit of Help, Mission Services, Men’s Street Ministry, The Compassion Society, The Angel Project and The Camisole Project.
