Community Involvement

Late night transportation

We want our kids returned home safe and sound on a Saturday night. We want our visitors to feel comfortable and well take care of. Thanks to a strong team effort with Burlington Transit and Burlington Downtown Bars & Restaurants, we are working together to make safer more efficient public transportation practices for the future of our vibrant late night core.

Keeping our seniors connected

It’s not always easy for our senior clients to get to the grocery store, to the bank, to a doctor’s appointment or just out to visit friends. The Transportation Committee for Age Friendly Project is dedicated to making life easier and more enjoyable for seniors in our community and we are honoured to be a part of progress.

Our cars are yellow but our fleet is green

For the last 30 years, Burlington Taxi has operated all vehicles with propane, an alternative clean fuel listed in the 1990 Clean Air Act. We are proud to be of one of the few green fleets in the province, and we continue to work with the industry to promote environmentally friendly fuel systems.

Wheelchair Accessible Service

We are proud to support our special needs customers and support the Burlington Transit System through the purchase and maintenance of wheel chair accessible taxis. We do not charge extra for our wheelchair service.

Good things happening in our community

The Sound of Music Festival, Festival of Lights, Canada Day, The Rotary Club of Burlington’s Lakeside a la Carte, and the Christmas Parade are a few of the fun filled events we like to support every year. Check out Tourism Burlington to stay informed of What’s On.

Not for profit organizations helping those in need

A special thank you to Halton Women’s Place, The Salvation Army, Sick Kids Foundation, The Kidney Foundation of Canada, The Alzheimer Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation, BIAH, Osteoporosis Canada, and The Multiple Sclerosis Society. We are proud to support these special programs that are so vital to our community.

Helping our children eat well to learn well.

Schools in our community are hard at work ensuring our students are receiving the healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks they need to succeed. Tom Thomson Elementary and Central Public Schools are two schools we support in their initiatives to supply our kids with the fuel for school. Special thanks to Halton Food For Thought for making this possible.

Support for new mothers

Did you know that Burlington Taxi provides complimentary transportation to and from the Breast Feeding Clinic at Joseph Brant Hospital for those in need? Please pass it on!

Keeping our kids active

Sports are so important for the well-being of our children. Thanks to Burlington Youth Soccer Club (BYSC), Burlington Organized Minor Baseball Association (BOMBA), and The Burlington Lions Optimist Minor Hockey Association (BLOMHA) for keeping our kids active and involved in team sport.
