We are proud to own and operate our entire fleet of vehicles, providing you with the opportunity to earn a good income as an employee of Burlington Taxi. We supply and maintain the vehicles as well as the fuel. All you need to do is jump in and drive. No additional worries.

Training for success

We take pride in our Driver Training Program that ensures your safety as well as your success as a Burlington Taxi driver. Our curriculum includes customer service, safety, administration, technology and city by–laws, and the completion of the Drive Wise defensive driving program.

Requirements before the interview

Valid Class G driver’s license for five years
25 years or older
A clean car insurance record for the past 3 years
A current driving abstract no more than 30 days old (Ministry of Transportation office or online at http://www.ontario.ca/en/services_for_residents/index.htm )
A good knowledge of the English language

Requirements once you are hired

Medical note from your doctor stating you are fit to drive a motor vehicle
Current criminal record check from your local police department
Completion of the Burlington Taxi training program and Drive Wise training program
Obtain taxi license from City of Burlington
